Biography

Massimiliano Marini began his career in 1999 at Salomon, Smith & Barney, and then at City Bank within the consulting and financial strategy division. From 2001 to 2006, he held a variety of roles at Reuters and KPMG within risk management and business consulting. In 2006 he joined Intesa Sanpaolo Bank as a Director in the Group Risk Management department and was later promoted to Head of Risk Solutions and Pricing Models, Head of Risk Management for Asia Pacific and later Head of Finance and Financial Risks. Since June 2019 he has held the role of Head of Supervisory Crisis Management and Impact Assessment as a Senior Director, with responsibility for the overall assessment of incoming banking and insurance regulations. 

Education

Massimiliano Marini holds a Master of Science in Business Administration (Economics and Finance) in 1999. He also completed two Masters of Philosophy in Corporate Finance & Investment Banking and Financial Markets Regulation & Compliance in 2001 and 2010 respectively. In 2016 he completed an MBA at Columbia University.
